5:30a.m.

awoke with a real-felt tears in my eyes. The conversation I had with him was plainly casual. unusual, in a sense wherein I don’t get used to having conversation with him while his mortal part was still here. I grew up with him yet I was not even close to him compared to my any other cousins. when every time he gets to see me, he was just like as if he’s mad at me. And all he can see is just only me. not in any good way but all my mistakes, though it wasn’t. He was a strong-willed person, a not showy type of a person. nevertheless, you can feel his love. and I certainly know, He’s a man with good heart. a FAMILY-ORIENTED FATHER whose never selfish enough and unfair to his child. 

But my heart and everybody’s heart breaks from the very moment that we’d be spending a little less time with him because of a reasonable proof. His illness. That was the day that I realized that I should be doing something. a move that will somehow can rift the barrier that hinders the relationship of a grandfather to a granddaughter. So, I did a move and the feeling was so enchanted. fluffy. from then on, I can hear him calling me “apo”. His sweetest and softest words of asking and minding me If i already took my breakfast, lunch or dinner. and that was an indescribable one. but not until those days when I had to put and wear his oxygen mask unto his face. that, breaks my heart. and the only thing and least that I can do just to ease the pain is to softly caress/ stroke every part of his body, most especially his hands. I knew it was coming but these words are the only words that i could utter “I wish I could have spend more time with him”. and then, everything was abrupt. even his death.

081811- 5:30a.m

  At exactly 5:30a.m., having a sound sleep. I felt something watery on my pillow. on my face. and I found myself crying, literally.

  It was surreal, as if he was still alive. unforeseen. almost next and close to me. I can feel his clear and vociferous voice. The feeling was purely subtle. We were on an unperceived place. Cozy. Tranquil. where only the two of us can apprehend everything. we were on a long fluffy beige couch. he was straightly lying down, legs over on my lap. touching him. caressing him, like a therapist. seriously. weirdly. I can feel his warm embodiment. as while summery wind embracing us. The talk, not to mention the main affair. It was all smooth. we were just seriously laughing. It was all about family. our family. only happiness and pure love. The visit may not be long enough but it was indeed rare and special. you didn’t get me scared. I know you are there, Lolo. and I want to say I miss you. and thank you. 

And these words would be dwell upon, forever. I LOVE YOU.
